A Pet’s Ten Commandments

My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Regular separation from you will be painful and can even cause depression. Think before you adopt me.
Give me time to understand what you want from me don’t be impatient, short-tempered or irritable.
Place your trust in me and I will always trust you back, respect [...]

I’ve convinced myself that if you take enough photos of your pet, you can select and arrange pictures to make a photo series that would seem to apply to almost anything.
Monty does the, now infamous, Zoloft commercial. The first four sentences of the commercial is in italics and is illustrated to you by Monty.
(Tip: Turn [...]

Monty is a little spoiled. Only a tad. He’s got 2 types of wet food (one of weight loss, another as a turkey treat), 3 kinds of dry food (indoor, anti-hairball, dental), 3 types of treats (temptations, greenies dental treats, salmon jerky and sometimes bonito flakes–fish oil for his coat), a water fountain and [...]

One week after Monty was adopted, he started grooming himself. I was told this was a good sign and showed he has become comfortable in his environment. It also meant that I had to brush him a lot less and that there would be much less shedding on my furniture and clothes!
Last Sunday [...]

Monty has made himself comfortable inside my mattress spring box this week.  It seems he spends all his time inside it while I’m at work.  It didn’t bother me because the plan was to staple the cover underneath back onto the frame this weekend.  Yesterday, when I came home, I immediately looked under my bed [...]

As I’ve mentioned earlier this week, Monty has opened the bottom cover of my mattress spring box and now use it as a hammock. It’s usually where I find him sleeping when I come home from work. Yesterday I decided to take a picture of him inside it…completely forgetting to turn off the [...]
